Financial contributions take various forms: operating grants to the Institute, investigator salary support and grants to cover specific activities. Research chairs involve substantial financial support. The Canada Research Chairs Program gives Canadian universities, research institutes and affiliated hospitals an opportunity to achieve excellence in research and become world-class research centres in the knowledge economy.
Government agencies and bodies provide indispensable funding for research activities at the Institute.
