The Lady Davis Student Association (LDISA) was created last June in order to promote academic, professional and social student development. All graduate students and postdoctoral fellows currently registered at the Lady Davis Institute are regular members of this Association. Our objective is to facilitate the interaction between students from all department and axes of research. We want to provide resources and services to improve the student life. In order to do so, several events are scheduled throughout the year. Members already had the chance to participate in our Orientation day last September. The goal of this day was to make sure that both new and former students get together and socialize.
This event was a great success as demonstrated by the attendance and we would like to thank you for your participation. Additionally, the LDISA will be hosting an event every month to ensure that these interactions continue throughout the year. Furthermore, a Research Day will be organized in mid-March to encourage scientific exchange among students from all axes of research through poster and oral presentations. We also intend on proposing the creation of a Career Day where students will have a chance to discover the career possibilities available to them after completion of graduate studies.
